CAT Therapy.

I have been for my second visit to a therapist for this CAT therapy.

It seems you look at whats going on, how you cope with illnesses etc, then changes the way you think, hopefully making things easier.

Anyway, like I said, second visit.

We talk, then out of the blue she says if she had a magic wand she would cure me first, as she has no idea what makes me carry on and get out of bed in the morning!!! And she is going to help me?

LOL sorry ,it made me laugh.

Ahhhhhhh CAT therapy, sorry in my brain addled state I was expecting read a post on the four legged feline being a stress reliever for fibro sufferers... Ha I have a mobile osteopath .. Who doesn't yet know it but she won't be coming for much longer as my money for luxuries of a massage is rapidly running out... But she is convinced she can help me to the point of being able to turn my neck right... I haven't been able to for 4 years and is going to sort out my neck and shoulders so can go out on my mobility scooter without someone accompanying me to tell me if traffic is coming from the right. I smile enthusiastically I.ve had NHS physio on and off for years and been told every time can't do anything more . I have trigger point injections in neck and shoulders butit only relieves pain .. Still can't turn neck... So I am not sure whether my osteo really believes she can or wants me to believe she can so I keep paying... Anyway if your therapist finds this magic wand can I have second dibs on it ...

Pretty please

Methinks feline CT therapy sounds more realistic than your therapist BUT I guess she was keen to empathise with you and thats why she made that comment. Ive never heard of CAT therapy, what is it ?

Good luck in finding the right therapies/therapist. I would try anything if it was free, as I have paid for all my therapies thus far :(

Kind thoughts NN :)

The best kind of CAT therapy is the furry kind. Those of us who love our four legged stress busters would agree that they help us more that talking about stuff. I had a years worth of talking with therapist, sometimes they helped. But, really it is we ourselves who have to try and accept that 1. we are ill, not easy 2. it is us who have to change the way we look at our lives. and 3. I wish people would stop saying they understand. How could they possibly unless they have such an illness themselves.

Chin up and go get a stress buster, if not a live on a teddy will do. Try and be positive in this very negative world. Find something to laugh at, laughter is a great healer.

All the very best my fibro friend.
