I have just started it

I take 25 mg amitripyline at night

10 mg baclofen 3x day

10 mg dul at lunch I think it has helped with an even deeper sleep and also some pain

Baclofen made a big difference for muscle spasms I was on methocarbanol

This is no good thanks Michelle

Hi been on them for over 3 weeks, not quite sure about pain as still have it, so early days, but I've become more in control of my emotions, so not a lot to say other than give it a go Hun

I have been taking 60 mg for a while now in addition to other medications. I think it must be helping me as my pain levels always tell me when it is time to take it. I have found very few side effects with this drug so would be reluctant to go without it now. My understanding is that it is a very common medicine to be prescribed for FMS.

Good luck if you decide to take it! Jane x

Thank you . Iam really pleased to hear that. I have been on a tiny amount 20 mg each day, and will build up slowly. I had a fuzzy pins and needles sensation which kept me awake for the first night, and a funny ache near my belly button, but I'm fine now, and looking forward to hopefully feeling less pain very soon!!

This is such a good web site, it so good to know we have other people who understand! lord know some people don't!!

Love Karen. X

Hi Karen,

I've been on full strength duloxetine for three years. It helped my back pain so much that I thought I didn't need it anymore. So last October I went off of it slowly under guidance from my GP. In two weeks the pain came roaring back and I was put back on it immediately. It worked so well I forgot how bad the pain used to be. However the side effect of withdrawal for me was three months of all over pins and needles. So if you are going for the max dose, which I would recommend, be aware that withdrawal at any point could be less than fun. Good luck!!!! Xxxxxxxx

Oh thanks so much for that Alvina! I have a friend who has found the drug amazing. She has hardly any pain anymore. I am only on 20mg at the moment as usually very sensitive to drugs. I think the Normal dose is 40 mg twice a day isn't it? Which dose did you find to the most effective?

Xxx
