Welcome!
I do start to feel rotten as a flare builds and this occurs before the widespread pain hits.
This blog I wrote on flares earlier this year may be of interest:
Hello Nanny! Welcome to our lovely forum, please take a look around and if there's anything we can help you with just ask.
I also have Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia, but also CFS/ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), so I sympathise with you. I don't tend to get any warning before a Fibro flare-up. I can be fine the day before and then wake up the next day and am in full flare. It can be very frustrating can't it. I tend to go hot and cold before a migraine attack, those are the only warning signs I get. Four days is a long time for a flare-up - I expect it takes a few days after that to get back to some sort of normality.
Take care Nanny!
Welcome to the site. I have Fybro and dont get any warning. I can be fine during the day and it normally appears in the evening when I sit down. I get pain in pelvis, shoulders, wrists, elbows, knees and back. It appears from nowhere.I have had a few long flere ups of a few weeks but normally it only lasts a few days but feels like weeks. I enjoy my time when I'm well and do what I can when I'm not.
Take care,
Martina
