Bad stomach.... Could it be connected with fibro?

Hi

For the last 2 days I have been suffering with diaorreah and bad stomach cramps

Could this be connected with fibro? Being newly diagnosed im new to all this and I feel awfull right now I'm tired sore and can hardly sit down.

hi to be honest i would not think it was the fibro you prob got a bug or it could be the medication you are on or you could have aquired ibs which i did when i got fibro a few months later and then you do get diarreah and then you get constipated itis not nice see how you go if still likeit in week i would see your gp and just mention ibs they gave me some peppermint tablets which help a bit so hopefully you can get it under control love diddle xxx

I think it maybe connected with yur Fibro but have it checked out just the same. #Dont knw how many times I've ended up in hospital with it. They just put me on a drip a drip and painkillers and then throw me out after a few days. Nothing ever shows up in tests or CT scans. So when I get it now I just take myself off to bed and drink water for about 24 hours and fast. It seems to come under the "umberalla"of FM. In other words, they dont know why. Had loads of tablets but nothing does any good, find the only thing is fasting and try and think back what you've eaten and avoid it in the future.

hi ivvy this could well be connected to the fibro .one of the symptoms can be irritable bowel syndrome this can change your bowel habits and it does cause severe cramps ,i get them and there so bad that its worse than labour pains .im now on medication for this and it has made a difference .i hope you soon get this sorted go to your gp and im sure they will sort it for you.take care and gentle hugs wendy

I do suffer with ibs and have done for many years but normally have the other end of the spectrum not this..... Haha.

I'm still suffering which leads me to think its connected as I feel totally drained and washed out and if honest a little down in the dumps.

I am hoping to get back to work thurs so this will give me focus again but I need to slow down for sure I think this is a warning from my body as have been doing a lot the last few weeks.
