Fibro is bad

I’ve had fibromyalgia since 2009 when I had a triple aaa dissection since this happened to me I’ve had no end of issues. Now I had a knee replacement and since this I’ve been in constant pain day and night for two years. These last few days have been so bad I don’t know how to cope anymore

Please any idea what I can do because I cannot physically go on like this

Sorry to ask but have you been diagnosed with fibro or could you have CRPD?

Sorry should have typed CRPS.....

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic (lasting greater than six months) pain condition that most often affects one limb (arm, leg, hand, or foot) usually after an injury. CRPS is believed to be caused by damage to, or malfunction of, the peripheral and central nervous systems.

It can affect your whole body and is probably the worse of all pain possible

Your not kidding me this pain is way out of control right now and I’m not coping very well and pain relief isn’t touching it

Worth telling your GP and get a referral to pain clinic. Long waiting list but worth going.

I recently went to pain clinic and they basically told me that there was nothing else they can do

Did you see them about fibro?

Didn't they review your drugs? Offer any alternative therapy? Or have any suggestions at all?

No they didn’t offer anything different said keep doing what your doing

Because I’m on zomorph there’s nothing else there willing to try

Still tryin here!

Have you learned about pacing?

Secondly it has been well researched that stronger meds and higher doses don't relieve pain.

They were 'invented' for end of life pain relief for cancer patients then stolen if you like for chronic pain sufferers. Yes they do help short term but nothing more.

You have to try other methods...swimming, pacing, physio, acupuncture...none will work on their own but together there will be some reduction in your pain levels.

There is no magic answer. Some people have found mindfulness works. Others massage or heat pads.

Thank you for all your positive ideas il try something.

My gp says they can’t give me anything else while on zomorph and we’d need to get you off them slowly so in all honesty I’m going to be stuffed with or without them at the moment it just doesn’t seem fair

Take in a couple of episodes of Jeremy Kyle...good distraction when you come off meds!!

Always here if you need support. Been through it with my David.

Thank you for your support

Are you under the care of a rheumatologist?? Maybe ask your orthopod who did your knee work to refer you over, they can do it quicker, than getting one via your g.p.

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hi there I can see you have had some useful replies back from members, if you would like to lock your posts I’ve posted a link that will help. Differently I agree to go back to your gp and push for the right help , just getting the right pain meds that at least will lower the pain would be something, take care x

Hello, I don’t know anything about zomorph, but ask about Tapentadol/Palexia. Are you able to see an acupuncturist?
