My brother was in yesterday and he checked my sugar levels
Mine was 7.7 higher than his and he has type 2 dieabtic.
My only fear is every time I go to
My GP I end up with Anna hospital appointment & another label on me.

Hi - it is really important to get the proper checks. It may have just been because of something you had eaten before the test - and they would do 'fasting bloods' if they were worried. Diabetes shouldn't be ignored - but neither should you panic, as we all vary throughout the day to some extent. Don't worry about the label just yet - but do get it checked out. *{}* S
its best to get it checked out, dont just ingnore it
Hi Sheelagh, I agree with SuzySparkle, it is really important to get things checked out. WE must not fall into the trap of thinking, oh its just part of my condition...................

Thanks everyone i have made an appointment for next week.
Hi. You stated your blood was 7.7 higher than your brothers but you didnt say what your reading actually was.
The high blood sugar could have been as a result of what you ate within the past couple of hours.
However, if you are worried and there is obviously a family history speak to your Doctor and get a fasting blood test done.
Good luck x
