hi fibro friends....does any one ever get really bad pain in the chest?mine was so bad the other day my friends called an ambulance

yea, know exactly what it feels like. sat in a&e a whole night as i was convinced something was seriously wrong only to be told xrays clear and it was the fibro giving me all the pain. i have times when i cant even wear my bra as it is so uncomfortable hope it doesnt last to long x

awwww thanx blondy...paramedics were goin to take me to hospital....said all theyd do is give me a morphine injection...thought i was havin a heart attack until they gave me a ecg!!!panic over..but still off work ..pain easin up now thanx x

My doctor told me this pain was an Anxiety attack.

Oh yes, I've been taken to hospital before because the paramedics thought I was having a heart attack, I was only in my thirties then. But all test came back clear, and when I went to see my doctor he said that it was the fibro, and it was quite a common symptom. So I guess it's just one more thing that we have to deal with. On the plus side though, since taking up yoga about a year ago, I haven't had any chest pains at all, hope that helps x

Hi, yes i get pains in my chest frequently, and the pains in the back of chest feel like someone stabbing me, isn't weird how and where all the pains attack. Take care x

Hi, I'm the same!! Never know when it's going to happen, the doc' thought I had every thing from asthma to a heart condition and all in between! Been tested for it all and tests came back all clear.

i agree with jules58 i get costochondritis too with fibro..... painful chest pain and yes you think its heart pain at first....worrying but then when u know it isn't you carry on with another fibro related prob....... x

yes for sure i thought i was having heart attack few sundays ago had it all weekend did not say anything for ages then mentioned it to my partner he said you must have pulled a muscle i said yeah but was still not convinced so came on here and yep another delight of fibro love to you diddle x

Me too....im new to this site and that was one of my first questions. Ive had costochondritis for 10 years and to my knowledge fibro for less...( unless it was hiding behind the costo) and i too was rushed to hospital thinking i was having heart attack...worth looking into. also i have different treatment for the costo so dont ignore it. i just came across this page.only found out about this site 3 days ago...i 2 have pains in my chest.referred 2 rapid chest clinic in april..ecg showed something nt right..so went 4 an angiagram showed i had nt gt angiana which i felt had. my own gp was reluctent 2 even refer me.he said its pulled muscle or anxiety...he told me to forget about it if rapid chest clinic came back clear..have nt been docters since late may.he made me feel parionod.was going to say i hypocontreact...nw feel comfortable going back..made an appointment 2 see another doc.i was diagnosed with fibro 5yrs ago...but never gave it a thought as my gp at time just said its poor mans me...its never mentioned since...what a relief that it nt all in my mind...didnt help and worried more cause i have hypertension.i feel so much more reliefed nw read this page.xx
