How much better if some of our doctors gave us a symptomatic approach.

Yes i am horrified on here at how many of peoples Gp are just blind to the fact that their patients have really got fibro and they seem like they just totally ignore it i was so lucky with my GP and i thank my lucky stars even now when i go to see her she is like a friend like all you on here i dont really know you but sit here andd pour it all out and she slides the tissues to me if i start to cry and she evn gives me a hug sometimes and has a tear in her eye too, you take care and love to you Diddle x

Thanks diddle - life is such a struggle for us all just in coping. Sometimes, I feel should we keep on trying to achieve different things that need to be done. It does not seem to do us any favours we get judged that we can do it. Which gives them an opinion of if she/he can do that the illness cannot be that bad. Have they got the pain would they be able to live in our shoes NO. It is those that put guilt upon us. Sympathy we do not need just an understanding.

circuitrunner, youve put the words perfect darlin as ive said from day one many years ago " NOT PITY/SYMPATHY JUST PLAIN OLD UNDERSTANDING"but the plain old fact everything we have is within the body nothing to visually "show oh your disabled or in pain" .

a peice of info given by Rhoemotology has been good to explain many aspects

go on search for "DEVINS DIAGNOSTIC" by Devin Starlaynl,i hope you find it usefull ,sorry for the spelling take care x

Thanks Lavender - all of us we must keep fighting. If we are not fortunate enough to get the relief we need now. In time to come scientists will have found something for those in the future. Sadly life became so bad I divorced my husband who had been a good man previous to accident and fibro illness. He became a controller. 14 good years 14 bad. I have no regrets making the decision - It took away extra stress I did and do not want. So the partners who are standing by your side - give them that extra hug unexpectedly - as it does affect their lives also
