Missing test results?

Hi, Hope everyone is doing ok.

I have had a test result go missing at a hospital, same with my referral. As far as I'm aware the gp has emailed the hospital about this, however, it has been going on for some time now. I am eager to have the test result back because without it I am not able to be investigated further. I did ring the hospital itself and they say they do not have it, and the gp have said the same.

Has anyone had any issues with missing test results before? (if so any advice).

contact PALS at the hospital. Ask them to investigate as it’s just not good enough is it.

Hi

Yes I have it’s very frustrating, I had to go to a different hospital for a heart scan, l and I had to wear a heart monitor for 3 days, I was supposed to get an appointment within 3 months, took 7 months for the appointment, I went the heart scan was there but the results of the heart monitor were not , it was a different consultant who I saw that didn’t have a clue why I was there until I asked have you even read the reports on me to which he hadn’t, no one knows where the results are, it’s maddening and scary as they told me I had heart problems aswell as leaky valves which he couldn’t explain, it’s so annoying, I hope you get sorted as soon as possible x

Thats so frustrating!, Yes, some how managed to get them found. Thank you.

I have complained to PALS previously for missing test results. They investigated and I received an apology email. I had to do the test again unfortunately
