I didn't think I could, but I can, Hubby brought me a bed thing so I can eat while I'm still in bed, I'm still aiming to start going downstairs by April/may ish,
It's 5d diamond painting!
My hand and eye coordination has been tested but I'm really chuffed with it
Aw debs you will never pee alone again π But you'll love it! We took on two very anti social 14 week old sisters with cat flu last October from a local farm and I've still got a dog crate in my lounge! I've been bitten & scratched to bits but they're slowly turning into lovely little characters.
They have basically taken over the house, the 2 oldies (cats) were really not amused and 'crabby granny cat' now 19, just hisses at them, knocks them on their butts and pees in their toy box π Think she's sending a clear message π
The little one is still showing effects of cat flu even after oodles of treatments, snores like a warthog & only weighs 2 kg so still not dressed or vaccinated at well over 6 months old hence the crate still being in place, might have to start dusting the blinking thing π
I'd like to know the trick of, Inever did a thing wrong in my life, and the, I just bit you but I still want a cuddleπΎspecial look
Mine (when they come) will never replace my Millie but I'm sure they will help with filling a gap, She at 20 yrs old brought me so much joy,ππππ±π±
Oh they are gorgeous and good on you for rescuing them. Hopefully it won't be too long until you can take that crate away. Years ago we took two kittens from a farm/dog breeder, one was healthy enough but the little tabby girl had cat flu, she sneezed a lot and (excuse these words) I really don't know where all the snot came from! She did pull through, but she had tummy problems for the rest of her 13 years. x
Ah yes, know exactly what you mean, the snot is awful. Poor wee soul, but you did well getting her to 13 despite her issues. Have a feeling this wee one will be similar π
She's had 3 different antibiotics, anti inflammatories, bisolvon, flumax, I've got her on L-Lysine & multi vitamins just now. Vets are scratching their heads, leaving her for 6 weeks without any treatment π€ I'll have a look thanks, anything is worth a try x
OMG! I just googled it and it's amazing! I needed something that might interest my g.daughter for her 11th birthday and shall of course have to get one for her little sister too. It's AI gone crazy! You could stick some on the kitties????
Oh dear! I can imagine the disaster of hundreds of little diamondy bits... I am right now engaged in trying to find a suitable diamond painting picture to send to my g.daughter to do. Her birthday is on the 5th so I must do it today and hope it gets delivered to where they are renting. I think she can manage an adult one but it's hard to find a small picture with a ginger cat. Will also send a separate one to her little sister. Thinking the hanging window thingies might be more appropriate for her but she is very dextrous too... Look what you've started me getting into!!! I might suggest putting out 'just a few' for her to her mum... Sorry about your muscle spasms. My legs have been getting cramps recently and not helped at all by the cat wanting to lie on my legs rather than my lap!...Perhaps you should re-name yourself Diamonddebs.... I will certainly look at Temu when all the last minute manic birthday panic is over. - She will get some money for some books but this looks like it will help any stress she might have too. ... My friend who had been a tutoring primary teacher let me have her tub of black glitter sand when she moved and my six year old g/dgtr still loves it... She got down from table when she was 2ish and was extremely silent, out of sight, for at least half an hour. It was by no means 'all' on the carpet and hoovers up beautifully and she still plays happily with it. Yes. I think diamonds are 'in'. Thanks for your part in this. Your're a star!π₯π«
I've almost finished a beautiful Peacock, 5 days in now π I'm sure your Grand daughter will love hers, And the Diamonddebs has got a nice ring to it, I'd love a craft stall (can but dream)
Peacocks are fabulous aren't they. The centres of the feathers seem to catch the light anyway. Craft stall sounds good but it might prove a lot of work. My friend who moved away from here meets with other ladies to do crafts where she lives now. She loves that. Are there any 'like souls' near you?... Come to think of it .... my friend might like to try diamond painting. Might send her an early next birthday present along with last years sheepy socks that I still have to send her? See what you've started!!!
That's sounds amazing, art therapy is such a good thing to do.Maybe you could add a photo sometime of your crafts.
Art can help you feel free even when you might not be able to get out of bed , look at Frida Kahlo.
I find her story very inspiring, as my Fibromyalgia and other conditions mean I spend a lot of time Living Life Indoors.
I have been known to give myself DOMS ( delayed onset muscle soreness) from drawing it knitting for too long though, it's a real thing, my husband has to remind me to take a break πππ
" Just one more line" is as common a phrase in my house as " just one more page ".
Tsundoku, is a Japanese word used to describe the purchase of books that you just choose to pile and own or put on bookshelves to read when the time is right.
I definitely do that but I also use the word to describe the art of increasing my craft stash πππ
I use them when I'm ready but I love looking at my pretty stash when I'm not .
I decided to work on some " inchies" each day.
I create little inch sized art works with pen , pencil or paint , and I also make sewn and embroidered textile inchies.
Not taxing but it frees my creativity in a manageable way (although my husband often find random scraps in the bed I try to control lost pins πππ).
A lot of it just involves mark making , dabbing , doodling or building up small bits of different materials into something that looks creative or beautiful, no real skill is involved just happiness at using your imagination.
I'll often arrange them into collages themed by colour or subject in frames,
Being creative even in the smallest and simplest terms is a big part of Ikigai , or the Japanese Positive Philosophy of finding the things that add value to your life and ways to create happiness. It's basically a method of Mindfulness.
I find a lot of inspiration and comfort from the philosophies about beauty and life in Japanese culture. They seem to fit perfectly into a way see your situation differently and enjoy life with Fibromyalgia and other illnesses. Much like Wabi Sabi , an seeing the beauty in simple, changed or broken things.
Sounds like your doing amazing stuff too Blearyeyed,
I love to collage to with stamped pictures and stickers, I also knit toy animals, I've been known to do sleep knitting when I'm so close to finish that I push on and when I've drifted off, jerked awake and taken a whole section clean off the needles or I'll think I'm finished until I spot a hole in my work,
I'm still learning to knit after having years away from it,
I've learnt a heck of a lot just with U-tube and Pinterest and have a major stash of colouring books (pencil colouring are my tools of choice)
Look for Johanna Basford on U-tube,
God I love the internet ( stayed away for too many years and can't get enough of it hahaha)
