Hello 👋 I'm looking into & trying to see how fibromyalgia affects people on a daily basis etc.
Would love to hear from you all if possible stating in detail what it has done to your everyday lifestyle etc since being diagnosed.
I know with fibromyalgia myself how the 24/7 pain affects me,but we all suffer in different ways & with different affects etc, being man & woman.
Does Anyone Have The Following Symptoms To Me Please
Shortness of breath doing the slightest thing.
IBD/IBS when traveling in a vehicle or even at any other time.
Tired & fatigued.
Any kind of stress or worry or trauma when faced with it direct or receiving bad news & what time period does this take toll on you 😞 being days/weeks/months etc.
Physical body pain.
Headaches.
Trouble concentrating.
Cannot walk further than 20 metres.
I do not want to know about any medication here please,as I'm looking at standalone fibromyalgia without medicine 💊 or CBT therapy or Thai chi or breathing exercises etc.
Dr Google does not have the answers I'm looking for as most of it is text book stuff & sketchy to say the least.
Really any help here would be totally fantastic & most grateful 🙏🏻
The very kindest of regards

Hi, this is a question that is asked very, very frequently. Have you tried our search engine. I am sure you will find many answers to your question . Both past and present x
Get out breath sometimes going up the stairs, headaches yes or migraines sickness so achy especially top part i also get cold body even if I’m warm all over not sure if this is fybro I got ibs to life’s just shit I do struggle sometimes trying to remember stuff
I am in pain in bed before I even get up, when my feet hit the floor for the first time it’s excruciating, I liken it to walking with broken glass feet. I have pain in my ribs, upper right arm, upper spine, lower back, left hip and knee every day that is always present. Other days I can get pain or muscle fatigue elsewhere (for instance last night I could barley lift my arms up - this morning they feel ok)
I have fatigue that comes and goes in waves. One day I can just get down stairs and I feel like I need to sleep again, another day it hits me around 2pm and I feel exhausted (wiped out, not just tired).
If I shower it takes me about an hour and a half to function again after. If I walk the dog I get stiffness in my muscles after to a point I can’t walk and it’s painful to even try.
I have a headache majority of days. This sometimes shifts with pain medications and then other days it won’t and I have to take migraine medications - and if I end up taking these I am basically unable to function for the rest of the day.
I get out of breath just climbing the stairs. I’m only 42 and I refer to myself as feeling like I’m 90.
in answer to your question, I dread going to bed at night and when I eventually get a few hours sleep I then have to face another day of doing activities that take my mind off the damn symptoms and then the procedure goes again. So you could say I hate it all
I do suffer from shortness of breath when I try to do things especially walking or climbing up stairs. I had never realized that that could be due to Fibromyalgia.
I am always tired and lacking in energy and sometimes having to give in to what I call my ‘write off days’. If I have something planned, I need to rest the day before and can be wiped out afterwards for a couple of days.
If I am stressed or frustrated with anything then my pain increases which can stress me out more as I become ’locked up’ and blame myself for being stressed.
Concentration and focus are also affected.
The pain can be anywhere and is constant. I have started to pay for physio and each week it seems to be another part of me that needs working on.
