hi when I was first diagnosed over ten years ago the rheumatologist said in his letter I probably had an element of chronic fatigue syndrome, due to how fatigued and tired I was. The two conditions can overlap I believe. Fibromyalgia does cause fatigue though.

I am going to try for PIP as I’m struggling to keep working the hours I do. It’s a horrible condition.

I’m afraid it does, I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia cfs/me. I’m lucky to get 4 hours sleep a night. I get so tired sometimes I could cry.

So my answer to your question is definitely yes x

Unfortunately, this is fibromyalgia, and the symptoms can be different for others . The only advice I can share

is to look at building your energy levels in small steps every day and keep moving. Eat things that give you some extra vitamins and drink more water or fruit juice . Look at your diet and research self-help foods that help you to support your immune system.

I, too, had a long period of a flare up which caused me all sorts of problems. By changing bits of my diet and pushing myself to move more has made me feel better.

I looked at my side effects of my painkillers and decided some of the side effects were linked to my symptoms. I took myself off these drugs and of course had to deal with the withdrawal symptoms. However, after a few weeks, I felt more alive 🙃 my mind was more alert with no brain fog .

Unfortunately, symptoms can be blamed on fibromyalgia when, in fact, it can be something else that is having an effect on our wellbeing. There are many ways to help with pain and tiredness. I now use a tens machine for my pain levels and listen to mental health podcasts' to overcome my anxiety and frustration having to live this way.

My mobility is affected by Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis in my legs however I keep pushing. Don't ever give up you deserve to live your life the best way you can. Look to research self-help and don't let these symptoms stop you. Little steps will support your body. Rest when you have too . Do some jobs and then rest and make a clear plan you will achieve something each day. Listen to things that make you feel relaxed as this will also help you.

Keep pushing and good luck and big hugs . Xx

It can be. Fibro is a strange beast. It mimics other conditions and so can be hard to diagnose. I'm Constantly exhausted.

Cheers, Midori
