Hi Harrop65,

Seems to be similar to things I also have.

Diagnosed with Fibro more than 10 years ago and also CFS/ME.

The pain in my arm started about the same time but I just thought it was fibromyalgia and just became more careful about how I move my shoulder and arm. It was worse in reaching up and on trying to throw a ball. Really stabbing pain.

The pain didn’t go away and GP sent me for X-rays and ultrasound.

Turns out not a symptom of fibromyalgia at all but a torn rotor cuff tendon in my shoulder.

Exercise by physio didn’t help so now have steroid injections into shoulder yearly. That’s helped a lot.

Pain in my thigh running down to my knee is latest thing, really really painful. I have been told it’s GTPS which is inflammation of the tendons, ligaments from buttocks and the bursa that sits on the top of thigh bone

So not everything is fibromyalgia related….it often is, but best check (if your GP is good) . I’m lucky, my GP listens to me and helps….not all of them do !!

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi,

Yes I too have this in my left shoulder bicep. Its fine just a dull ache but if I stretch to reach something or just twist it like opening a door handle its so painful, I sometimes double up with it. I even need my wife thank god to help me get dressed. GP sent me for ultra sound scan and consultant sent me for MRI scan. Turns out I have a torn ligament in my shoulder socket. He advised me steroid injection rather than op. But now he can't do that because I've got cancer on my kidney and this would contradict the treatment.

So now hopefully they get rid of the cancer🤞and I can have the steroid trialled.

It's times like this you just feel like ending it all. What is the point in living with this pain that just won't go away. But after 2 unsuccessful attempts you just try and get on with it.

See your GP and get a scan. 🙏
