This site seems great! It’s nice to read I am not alone. Have joined a couple of Groups for my conditions.

I’m a 34 year old female with what I feel is fibromyalgia. Not been diagnosed as of yet due to a supposed referral from physio which I’ve recently found out wasn’t actually put through after me waiting over a year. So am now waiting for a second referral from GP to MSK rheumatologist/Pain clinician.

I’ve never really felt ‘well’ if that makes any sense. Something is always hurting daily, have struggled with constant pain since an emergency cesarean and a few other events which came before my getting pregnant with my little miracle.

The pain started I think as sciatica but hasn’t gone, now I have widespread pain. Physio didn’t seem to help and neither did pregablin and thanks to that I’m now the heaviest I’ve ever been which no doubt isn’t helping things.

I had full bloods a number of years ago to see why I had a constant low grade fever after a burst ear drum and the only thing which was discovered was positive anti-smooth muscle or something like that but nothing more was ever said and the LG fever eventually stopped bar occasional burning up. I often feel hot and like my I’m burning up so not sure why.

I have PCOS and all the horrible symptoms that come with that also.

Don’t want to babble on more than I have so will leave my introduction at that for now.

Thanks for reading :)

Welcome to the fibromyalgia forum.

I see you have PCOS, I have endo and adeno. I have never felt 100% well either for many, many years. It sucks.

Lots of lovely people on here, sorry that you are part of this fibro club too x

Thanks for your reply 😊 Sorry you’re in the bad clubs too. Crazy isn’t it that every day so many people feel so rubbish. Hope you’re having a good day x

I know you realise how many people struggle every day with illness when you visit these forums. I’m so grateful for them as I don’t know anyone in my circle or family or friends who have fibro or gynae problems. Still bloated today and slight pain, sitting with a hot water bottle. How are you today? Xx

Hi AllthatGlitters, so sorry for the delayed reply. How have you been? I hope the bloating eased off!

I’ve been much the same as usual, feeling hot, abdominal pain (i sneezed a couple of days ago and it felt like something burst open 😞) and still getting a niggling pain. Ankles and feet went numb, pins and needles stronger than usual but I think it may be where I’m not taking the pregablin. I didn’t feel much benefit from taking it but it did ease some pains slightly.

Are you on medication for the fibro?

Ree Xx

I too have PCOS and also feel like I am always running a low grade fever as if I’ve got a virus that never gets better or worse ,every time I’ve mentioned it to anyone medical they just look puzzled and shrug they’re shoulders. So I just put it down to the Fibro. as I was diagnosed about 12 years ago now.

Your right this is a lovely group, there are lots of folks on here that although not medically qualified can give amazing advice and support 💛

Hi, sorry to hear you have pcos & fibro too. That’s strange but also relieving to hear you too feel the same with the low grade fever issue. The only thing they came up with was positive anti smooth muscle and never actually explained what that meant. It’s like one thing after another with the pain and issues isn’t it.

Thanks for your reply & look forward to being part of these groups :)
