Hi, I've been having a pretty rough time this last year having a myriad of symptoms come and go and then come back again worse than before. I've had chest xray, stool samples and bloods done with only my CRP being elevated continuously. My main symptoms are muscle/ joint aches my back, left side of my abdomen, my hands/fingers sometime get achy and my arms are particularly bad. I have reflux type symptoms also which the doctor has referred me to gastro for and endoscopy. I have really bad neck and shoulder tension which then gives me headaches, fatigue, sensitivity to temp usually the cold, and recently jittery in the morning with occasional night sweats. The worst part for me at the moment is not having the concrete diagnosis and waiting on tests which I'm having to beg for. Functioning is difficult especially with two children and my mental health is definitely taking a battering.

Possible fibro
Sounds like you have some of the symptoms of fibro. You need to be seen by a rheumatologist who will diagnose you. Once you get your diagnosis it honestly is a relief because your not going mad after all. Please ask/demand yo be referred. Good luck
As a general rule a diagnosis of fibromyalgia is not given until other causes for symptoms can be ruled out. Fibromyalgia sadly can mimic other conditions so a diagnosis should not be given out lightly. From memory it did take three years for my own diagnosis. In those three years the rheumatologist diagnosed three other conditions. He ruled out other conditions and finally gave a diagnosis.
If I didn't know any better i would say your post was mine. I am a 51 year old male with exactly the same symptoms as you except my pain is in my right abdomen rather than the left and I worry its my liver but its when you say you have to beg for tests that really caught my eye as I thought oh thank god someone is exactly the same as me as I really am begging for tests. I just broke down in tears the other day at my gastroenterologist having been told several times last year nothing would of changed since my last gastroscopy in 2019!! I have managed to get a gastroscopy for next week although I was told initially the consultant shouldn't of ordered an urgent gastroscopy as they cannot meet their targets of two weeks for urgent gastroscopys and that they still had urgent gastroscopys from May that they haven't done yet
It's awful isn't it. I'm pretty bad at the minute, so jittery and shaky and completely off food. Just started taking propananol and citalopram last night for anxiety and I'm feeling off from those I think as well. It's constant struggle isn't it and the worry of not knowing what is going on is torture I find. I have to regularly convince myself It's not the big C which is driving my family mad. Plus Google and the rabbit hole doesn't help.
I hope you get answers and please keep me posted.
