Funny Taste

Does anybody else get a horrible taste in their mouth during the day?

Yes I call it my tinny taste lol - have found I tend to drink a lot but of course this is due to medicines - which make your mouth so dry

No thats one thing i have not had the pleasure of , not to say i wont lol you do get some odd things with fibro. oh well i am sure your not the only one with that, could be combination of meds your on, you take care love and soft hugs Diddle xxx

Yep - definitely a metalic taste. I worried for ages that people would notice it, but my husband says he can't smell anything.

I chew gum most of the time - and drink loads of water. It takes a while to get the saliva going every morning though.I have tried a spray and a gel - but they were both expensive and completely ineffective. My dentist told me that having a dry mouth has an adverse effect on your teeth too. Oh joy...

Hi yes I get a really dry mouth throughout the night and a furry tongue in the mornings, with a metallic type taste all the time, sometimes it makes me feel sick.

I also have a sore throat in the mornings,I have just seen a specialist at a sleep clinic yesterday and they think ive got Sleep Apnoea, so im going to be having a night in hospital soon to be monitored.

If i have got it ill have to wear a mask all night which forces air into your lungs via your throat, but apparently i will feel the difference and get a decent nights sleep with it.

i suffer with copd so i thought the metallic , coppery taste in my mouth was down to that so this is interesting to read it may be another symptom of fm . i too chew gum all the time to cover any smell but it does seem to be pulling out my fillings

Amitryptiline caused this. Doc changed to Nortrip. It has helped but not cured it. Doc prescribed fake spit which did nothing but make me gag.
