Hi there, as this is a question basicly based on your last post. I feel it may get a better response if put on the bottom of your previous post.

It works better for everyone to respond to rather than opening new threads based on what seems to be an update of your condition.

If you need help with this or anything else. Please feel free to ask me or any of the admin team. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your day and feel better soon xx

hi thanks x I hope I do feel better soon, I was a bit sick this morning but feel a bit better now, my parents think it's stresses doing it and the tablets I hope will help 🎄 ❤️

I get migraines and have had more in the last two years than ever. I had one in April and then the next day I felt unbalanced and off. This has continued ever since. Ive tried many tablets including Betahistine. Its usually prescribed for Menieres. But sometimes for non specific dizziness. Its often something doctors give out when they dont know what's wrong.

Betahistine is an antihistamine and pretty innocuous to be honest. It might help and has very few side effects which is a bonus. I've seen a neurologist and ENT consultants now and have been told is vestibular migraines, where instead of getting painful headaches we get silent migraines that cause vertigo, dizziness, imbalance.

Most get attacks that last from 5 minutes to several days but some unlucky souls have it all the time. Have you had a virus that could cause labrynthitis or do you get migraines or have family history of them? Is it a spinning kind of dizziness or walking on a boat sensation. Anxiety is also a strong driver of dizziness as well.

I'm now on migraine preventative medication (my 6th try) to see if i can control the balance problem. I've never had spinning vertigo, more like feeling drunk or walking on a trampoline.

Blasted migraines...I swear just saying the word is enough to trigger one! I'm trying Propranalol as a preventive..its been 3 months and I can say it had helped a bit.

I tried Propranolol but it made my asthma worse, then Amytriptyline, Nortrityline , Sertraline, Betahistine and Stemetil. All either did nothing or I had to quit due to side effects. Now trying Candestarten but I think its making my back and shoulders hurt. Which is a known side effect. I give up.

I were prescribed it for dizziness and balance problem 3yrs ago which it helps with considerably well taking 5mg 3 times daily. I take Lansoprazole for reflux which works for me at 30mg but a lower maintenance dose doesn't work at all for me

Hi

I had Betahistine when I was experiencing dizziness but no sickness & it was brilliant then. I get dizziness when my fibromyalgia flares up but my last episode this year I had stemetil as I had nausea & sickness, Betahistine didn't work, stemetil worked better than Betahistine then. So I can say Betahistine worked better for dizziness with no sickness or nausea & stemetil worked better for dizziness with sickness & nausea. But we are all different so I suggest you give it a couple of weeks and see if it works for you.
