Feeling unwell with fybro

Morning all I have fybo and rhematiod athritus and suffer from bad virul bugs headaches sleep and am so weak and drained like a flu type type bug which lasts weeks does anyone feel like that it’s so s**t cannot do anything apart from lie in bed 😞

Hi, when I take a bad flare up it feels flu like and can last a week or two. However, as you have RA also, if you are on medication that can be affecting your immune system and making you more susceptible to viruses etc

Yes that is how I have tried to describe a flare to close friends as having flu like symptoms without the chest problems with all over aching and severe fatigue. They always said you could tell if you had flue or just a bad cold as if a £20 note was due to fly out of the window if you had flu you wouldn't have the energy to try and grab it and that is how I feel with a fine flare.

As Hazel_Angelstar says having RA on top just compounds your problems.x

Hello, my heart goes out too you as last week I felt like I’d got a sign on my head saying weak immune system feel free for me to catch ☹️I do have CFS as well so that does effect immune system but in general I do not get too put a month together without something laying me up, I had a friend visit to lift my spirits and she sends me little txts each day, she is my saving grace sometimes. Like you I feel fluey and have too sleep , rest watch tv on my IPad until it lifts again. But if you have someone close keep chatting any family or close friend, even here it helps as it shows me I’m not alone. I love my little grand boys but I differently think them being in primary school I keep catching off them. I think Hazel and Rosewine s words describes it all, take care xx

Yes, a fibro flare does feel like flu. Body aches and aches deep inside. Debilitating, especially when it lasts for a few weeks.Hope you feel better soon.
