My husband read that because of the backlog of applications because of COVID that a lot of people on Pip are having their PIP extended by either just their assessment forms or by a phone call to iron out any queries x

Hi I didn’t need a over the phone assessment and he told me I don’t need to attend an assessment I hate worrying cause it’s a big worry he as sent a letter out explaining it all and I asked if it was going to be ok cause I worry he said yes it’s all fine nothing to worry about your pip as been extended so I wounder how long the extend it for ? I’ve been on pip for 2 yr now and didn’t need an assessment last time they had all the information they needed

Hi there, yes it sounds like your PIP will continue for now. I am sure it will all be explained how long the extension is for when you receive a letter 🙂

Yes he said to me before he came off the phone there as been a letter sent out to you explaining everything you Do Not need to attend any assessment face to face or over the phone assessment due to everything we know. He then said your pip as been extended i hope it means it is all ok I hate the worry it leaves. I didn’t have to attend any assessment the first time round the did though look at all drs and hospital records as it was stated on the letter saying we have seen all the information we need and decided high rate for both. Thanks for replying 😊

Hi, I am sorry I don't know how long it will be for. I'm guessing it could be anywhere from 1 to 10 years. Please come back to this page and let us know how you get on. It really does help others when members keep their posts updated thank you and good luck. 🤞You get it for the 10 years xx
