So I had my Pfizer booster on 5th January and as mentioned in Bigalan's post have had pain after it. I have had an unbearable like chicken pox itch on the back of my neck since then and just though "oh great thanks fibro" another itchy new spot. Well I'm a trooper and just tried to ignore it, scratched it like mad though lol! My boyfriend took a pic on his phone and it looked red raised blotches with tiny red spots. I thought yuck thanks fibro another itchy spot you've given me. I've been scratching it badly I will confess. Yesterday my boyfriend managed to find the side effects of the Pfizer jab and yes 1 in 1000 people can develop a rash. Lol it just had to be me!! Well today I found the cure for the itchiness - I have a cold damp towel across my neck..... ecstasy at last! I have to get my bloods done on Friday so I'll report it then. So if you get a rash from your booster you now know how to ease the itching .

Covid Vaccine rash
glad you have found some relief but I always wonder at attribution to the booster or something else as we can just be unlucky or something else caused it. Its like the association with the full moon. Would make more sense if it was at the injection site. Mention it at the doctors and they may just dismiss it as being part of the jam but they may say it is something else. As it has been more than a week since the booster, if it is an effect from that then you should report it to get it looked at.
I agree with Des that this of course could well be something separate. OTOH my (extremely rare) severe reactions to the 1st Pfizer are all all over and include itchy burning skin (no rash tho). My tons of research all points to histamine, so my GP is checking my DAO (needs to be over 10). Hope that's in your bloods too, and I'd be curious about the result. My result is pending every day, seems a rare one. O.o Also I've had a little improvement to my skin by adjusting my supps according to what I've researched - since then I can tolerate showering without howling, which now improves other symptoms a little. For itching, light creaming and - strangely - acupressure helped. Still no chance of going back to work or playing table tennis or anything much tho, but stretching etc. all the more "all day".
Edit: I'm thinking that body acupressure may work neurologically similarly to a TENS unit via "distracting" the central nervous system from the pain or here the itching. Just used it again successfully to get to sleep, got itching down inside of 1-2 mins.
Any possibility of shingles? 🤔
I had my bloods appointment today and I showed the rash to my nurse. She got a Dr to have a quick look and he told me to report it through the yellow card system. So I have. Today it is still itchy but it hasn't spread so fingers crossed it will vanish soon 😊
