I've just joined this group as I figured it might help me overcome issues that I know I cannot be alone in. I was diagnosed with Fibro last November and was signed off work for 6 weeks. Work were great but I've left my old job for a better one for my future, but I feel so guilty when I have to take time off due to my health that I almost think work are better off without me my anxiety seems to shoot up during and after a flare up, but you can't help how you feel. Does anyone else feel this way when it comes to work?

Working with Fibromyalgia
Hi! 100% know how you feel! I've used up well over my paid and half paid sick days and I always get so anxious when I have a flare up or a bad day and have to call in sick - I spiral into wondering if they think I'm just being lazy or if they're going to fire me and all that worrying makes the pain spike up! I do have a really understanding manager though and she's very patient and respectful of my condition. My best advice would be if you have someone like that at work just be open and honest with them about how you feel and your concerns and they will hopefully put your mind at ease. ❤️
Hiya,it’s a relief knowing I’m not the only one!
I worry about people thinking I’m lazy too.
So hard when you never know what the next day is gonna be like and as someone else said, that worry makes the pain and fatigue worse.
Trying my hardest to figure out how to get out of this viscous circle.
I feel your pain. X
