Anxiety 75 mg
I have been on 125mg for any years. I started initially on just two 25mg doses as I often react badly to néw medication. Each week the dose increased until I was o 50 in the morning and 75mg at night. I felt tired and dizzy for the first two weeks but this gradually faded. When the dose was increased I felt rather "out of it" so decided not to jncrease the dose but wouldn't be without the dose I'm on as it has really helped the burning, stabbing pains I was experiencing. Quite a few on the site take it at a much higher dose without too many side effects but others found it didn't suit them. As with any meds what suits one does'nt suit another. Good luck.
wonder if this is not related to fibromyalgia that you may be best looking for responses in healthunlocked.com/mental-h... as most people will be taking pregabalin for other reasons on here.
Hi I take 300mg morning and night for lower back pain. I've just recently been increased from 275mg twice daily. It made me slightly tired at first but that's settled now. I've been on this medication for sometime n I link my weight gain too it? Good luck.
Hi Sazza-j, Pregabalin was initially used for preventing seizures, then also found to work well for neuropathic pain. Are you sure it was prescribed for anxiety? I've never heard of it being used for anxiety.
there is research for GAD . Pregabalin but I was not aware of it being prescribed but there are NICE guidance notes on GAD that were revised this year and include pregabalin.
Hi there, yes I was prescribed it for anxiety by my doctor. I've stopped taking it after 4 days as it made me feel awful. It does state on the leaflet that it's used for GAD x
Sertraline was given to me for pain, but it is used for low mood and anxiety. Im not recommending any drugs though, just want to make that clear. I don't want to take it anymore. Mediation might suit you better. There are lots of apps available and the bonus is it's drug free.
Thank you. Yes I have a couple of good Panic/Anxiety books to read. So I'm hoping they will help. All the best to you x
It's not a matter of either meditation or medication. Meditation is very helpful for many people. I was on pregabalin for a while some years ago. It didn't help at all with my fibro symptoms, but came with a considerable range of nasty side-effects. It is very addictive, so it took me some time to get off it.
