Duloxetine

Hi I have been on duloxetine for years now and have no real problem with it although like most of you guys out there whatever med you take most of them never really seem to work .

Hi there Dave, welcome to the group 😊 you say you have been on Duloxetine for years. Maybe thats why they are no longer working for you?

Maybe its time you talked things over with your GP if you have not already done so xx

Hi Dave, I've been on duloxetine for 32 years max dose ask GP to consider adding a low dose of pregablin, to start with as duloxetine is primarily an antidepressant to relieve depression and anxiety, it's an snri, not used for pain prevention

I was prescribed Cymbalta/Duloxetine for pain ~ here in the States it is given for many different issues. But for me (& many others) it has become a “poison.” I’ve been slo-o-owly tapering off since February of 2018. Every “drop” in strength causes more side effects, but I am determined ~ obviously. Never again will I take any med without extensive research.

Actually duloxetin is FDA approved for pain and has been shown both in animal and human studies to decrease pain.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
