hoping to buy some sort of fitbit to help with pacing, any recommendations please?

Pacing
are you meaning paces rather than pacing? xiaomi Mi band is quite good for steps and activity monitoring and good value.
trying to take some control over my symptoms, i have designed a new programme for myself and i think this may help pinpoint triggers. Dont get me wrong i am not as severe as some on here, but i would like some kind of normality.
Sounds interesting to me as I've had a lot of successes pinpointing triggers!
I'm just exasperated at the moment that despite so much progress getting all pains and most wakers down, I still can't get enough sleep and energy 🥵.
Like LoneEra says: Keep us posted!
(Forgive me, your name-choice probable means something very different, but I absolutely love the album "Little Queen" by Heart...)
Energy is my big issue too. I get wiped out so quickly...and find it hard to be enthusiastic as everything is an effort.
On really really bad days I can’t even summon the energy to turn over in bed to take my meds...which isn’t helpful! 🤦🏼♀️
I was going to suggest a mi band, I have the 5 and swear by it because it also covers menstrual tracking and all manner of things. It doesn't need charged as often [more than the 4 which I wore till it died of old age] as the fitbit and is only £30I also use mine to remind me to eat - a three hour alarm so it buzzes on my wrist. I would be lost without mine
I’d advise you to buy a cheap one (as Des suggested) to begin with. I’ve had one in the past and I must say I got bored of it pretty quickly! And if you look on eBay, the number of second hand hardly-used ones suggests others do too! (You can get bargains on there though) 🙂
The one thing I did find interesting on mine was the stress level monitor. I noticed that phone calls are a major stress trigger for me - I’m a massive introvert and prefer typing than speaking. So now, I often ask people to email or text me, rather than call, in order to reduce my daily stress.
I really hope your new programme yields results for you. Keep us posted! Xx
"phone calls are a major stress trigger" - yep, LoneEra , me too! - altho I'm a mixture of extravert and introvert. I've got used to not reacting tho, when someone calls, unless it's a doc's practice. Especially after 6pm. I listen to the answering machine and call back or write when my pacing allows me. But most people have realized that anyway, including boss and colleagues. I also need to keep all my socializing/peopling down, more of course than before fibro. Question is if I can now find a new balance at work, keeping it down enough. Home office is easier...
Hi. This is all very interesting. But me - I love to talk! Me and the proverbial hind leg of a donkey get on very well.
What stressed me out is isolation and loneliness. As I live alone - lockdown has been a challenge.
Family and friends are good, in that they do keep in touch. Otherwise I can sort of chat to you lot!
So thanks.
Xxx
I brought a cheap one to try off amazon. It does pulse, steps, sleep etc . 3 years on I have never looked back. I know if I'd over 9000 steps I will be sore the next day etc it was a good buy. Personally I would not but the very expensive ones, but we are all different.
