Referred to the CFS Clinic

Morning all

Sorry to hear some of you are struggling at present but again you are not alone. I have been referred by my GP to a Chronic Fatigue Clinic and had an online introduction yesterday and wanted to run some of these questions by you.

I cant help but feeling they think I can wake up and think I am not going to have Fibromyalgia anymore and everything will be perfect. and as a result I could not sleep and woke up this morning feeling worse than ever.

I would love to hear your opinions, If only it was so easy .

Cfs clinic were a great help to me.. Mostly because they actually believed in me /my symptoms. No magic wands, but hopefully they will be able to help you too if you go with an open mind.

Yes the CFS clinic in Liverpool were great for me. They understood exactly how I was feeling. Only wish I could still visit the clinic

I have filled out a couple of this type of form. To be honest I always end up thinking that if I could answer the question “what will you do to help your condition “, then I would have the answer and not need to ask for help. I hope you get sorted soon.

These kinds of forms always feel really patronising to me. But I try to just see them as my ticket to the party. So basically, do what you’ve gotta do to get access to the services on offer - as some others have said CFS clinics can be useful.

I am often quite glib in my responses on these types of forms though 🙂

Hi gavlar i'm having 12 hours sleep & i still feel so tired after that i'm weak & always in pain cant cope drs just just anti depressants at me like they'l give me an energy boost really struggling to get thru the days not just because i'm in pain but feeling tired got to get back on to drs again but been ongoing for 3 months now & just need answers

I'm also sleeping at least 10 hours without feeling refreshed. It's a symptom of cfs. Sometimes there aren't answers per se.

Cfs clinic were fantastic.... Treat the form as someone suggested... A tick box that you can use to write more full answers.Cfs clinic definitely got me my monthly B12 injections (helpful) and and discuss diet (in my case giving up diet coke and anything else with artificial sweeteners in) and slowly building up the exercise (4lengths of the pool to 1km swimming plus yoga, cycling and badminton).

Go with a positive attitude if you can.

I spent 9 hours in A& E last night not good i called 111 because I'd had a pain in my shoulder 15 mins later an Ambulance came high blood pressure etc took me to hospital where in the end after 9 hours they said was probably my fibromyalgia !!! but they didn't know much about it so sent me gone in pain 😪 waiting to seedocs about my fibro xxx
