Just out of interest why are you coming off ? I’ve been on this 4 years for anxiety, it had truly done its job but I do get headaches in the morning and weight has certaintly imcreased, I want to talk to my practioner nurse/doc about the weaning off process should I choose to come off, Im undecided, but yes differently go through your gp x

Hi

From personal experience I would say very slowly. I had terrible withdrawal symptoms when I came off Duloxetine, it is an awful drug for side effects and withdrawals.

It took me 8 weeks to come off this and I still had withdrawals after that.

Hope your more successful.

Good luck 🤞

I took myself off tramadol as soon as I read the side effects and realised that was me. I didn't take advice.... Went through a week of hell..... But personally I know how addictive tramadol is and prolonging it would have been temptation to stay on it.Seek advice. But you don't have to take it.

Good luck

You could speak to your physician about coming off slowly ... they should help you with the continued prescriptions needed to taper off slowly. I was on Duloxetine for 8 years and have been tapering *very* slowly off 60mg of this medication for 1-1/2 years plus ~ yes more than 18 months ~ and still have quite awhile to go. If done rapidly (or worse, cold turkey) you can have really terrible side effects. When I started tapering there were online sites which explained some withdrawal procedures ...

Thank you for your msg... when you say terrible what do you mean?

How much do you taper and how long do you hold for? Thank you

Hi. I’ve recently started to taper off duloxetine and have to say I don’t feel great! I was on 90mg for just over a year and discussed coming off with my GP due to side effects. He suggested taking 60mg for one week then 30mg for one week and then to stop them. It has floored me...I feel dizzy, nauseous, have an upset stomach and feel quite anxious. I have a weird tingling sensation in my tongue and my eyes feel as if they are jiggling about when I move my head! It’s been just over a week since my last dose. I don’t feel safe to drive and have had to take time off work as I don’t feel great. Have a telephone consultation with my GP this week so will see what he advises. I now just want them to be out of my system and to feel better. I hope this info helps you. Stick at it 🤩
