Sounds horrendous, I’m dreading mine already! How long did he wait for his assessment appointment?
I think the whole process is going to make me even more ill!
I’ve been in the twilight zone plenty of times, too. Ridiculous!
Sorry to hear that, I really don't understand why they make the process so damn hard. They really have no clue at all and most of us I'm sure have better knowledge than them!
Make sure you put in a complaint so if it has any bearing on what is awarded you have at least got your word in first.
I sent of 3 times for the PIP form (instead of phoning to apply) on the 3rd i got the form, since returning it at the start of November I've heard nothing so i will be writing a complaint myself today if I get round to it that is.
Well I hope it all works out ok and get what he's entitled to.
Hello once you phone you will get a form sent out with two weeks. Because you wrote in not advised or needed to as to apply for PIP you are required to phone the free phone number having your full identification details to hand. So by writing for application form for PIP I am sorry was and is you own fault. Once you or any claimant sends off their application standard Freeport or recorded delivery you should contact the DWP by phone and ask if they have received your application form. Once you have a yes then it’s a case of waiting till you receive your F2F or at present the phone assessment appointment time. Sometimes we think or believe we are doing the right method but in reality it not.
Hi, I was told to write as I can't phone them, I get bad panic attacks on the phone, mum can't ring as she works the hours that phone line is open. On .gov website it gives the postal address to write to get the PIP1 form, and as you say it is 2-4 weeks from them receiving my that form back they send out the questionnaire on how conditions effects daily life. They sent the form after 3 letters requesting it, on that 3rd letter it took them only a week to post the firm out but that was returned in November so well overdue for sending out the questionnaire.
I know you mean well but please don't tell people it is their own fault when they have followed DWP instructions.
I'm guessing you didn't know if people can't use phones they can apply by post.
Cheers
Bob
My apologies for not even thinking that you suffer from panic attacks while trying to phone people you don’t know ect. A lot of people including myself don’t realise or understand your abilities regarding the use of a phone, thank you for bringing it to my and others attention who are reading this, the problems some people have in their lives that most of us take for granted.
Hello sorry that you had such a bad experience with the phone assessment. Assessors are real people like you and I so as we have or are having a bad day so they might be having one as well. Asking someone a question about a subject that happened before your second birthday is like asking the assessor what colour dress she wore 10 years ago. Most assessments are a standard working through the questions and asking about your issues problems with each descriptor. Request a copy of your assessment report and on receiving it you can work out what your award may be but you still have to wait for your official award notification letter. Having the report allows you to see where points where not added in your opinion they should have and you can start collecting evidence to launch an MR should need or require too.
