So I called the tribunal service yesterday to see if they had a rough estimation on how long the wait is for hearings as I’ve been waiting since May. Anyway, I was informed that I actually have a hearing booked for this Monday (2nd November at 10am) for a telephone hearing.
I had an oral Tribunal hearing and won in October 2018, but never had a telephone one.
Those of you who have, any advice on what it’s like? As I have a matter of days, my anxiety is in full force. Bit short notice as I didn’t receive an appointment letter so it’s lucky I called!!
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you ♥️

If you are, all i can say to prepare is to make sure you have names of doctors, dates of diagnosis, medication and relevant info of diagnosis about how you feel and manage your condition on a day to day basis etc in front of you.
Before lockdown i had a face to face with PIP assessor. There were 2 of them in the room. One asks the questions and the other writes down all the ways you interact and in their report they stated that i could open my water bottle ok to take medication (i have an alarm on my mob when meds are due) and how i reacted to my alarm etc, in a way they were very clever as they watch everything you do.
As memory (brain fogs) can be an issue its better to have one word answers written down to jog your own memory.
I had a telephone interview in Sept and still haven't heard from them as i think with covid they are very backed up.

I had a face to face pip tribunal in October 2018 as well as all the other f2f medical assessments. I know how much they watch you. I had a full blown panic attack at my last Pip f2f medical assessment & the report says I didn’t show any signs of anxiety or distress!! It’s amazing how much they lie. Xx
I had F2f in 2018 too and was awarded low rate daily and no mobility.
In 2019 i had a fall and has made my mobility very painful and slow so we informed them of this change.
When we got reply in Aug i still got lowest daily 8 points and awarded this year low rate mobility BUT when we checked first report with 8 points they had taken 2 points off of last years daily in one category to award 2 points from another category which still left me with 8 points low rate daily!!
We have appealed as by rights we should be awarded 10 points for daily.
We felt that was underhand to keeping me just under the threshold.
How many other people have they done this to when they have not noticed this.
Its bad enough that we have to live with these illnesses, without having to fight so hard for every penny just to make ends meet, after all we still have to pay for medications, aids, bus or taxi fares to/from GPs or hospitals all the time!!
It makes me so angry that so many genuine people are suffering so much from such terrible medical problems but DWP feel they have the right treat us like this.
Oct 2018 the tribunal awarded me 9 points for daily living and 8 points for mobility.
This time around, they gave me 9 points for daily living and 4 points for mobility. However, the 9 points for daily living, they took 3 points from me in certain areas but awarded me 3 points in other bits. So realistically, if the tribunal notice that they’ve taken the points away from me that they awarded me, then maybe they’ll give me them back? If so, I’ll then be on higher daily living.
I’m also trying to get my 4 points back for mobility, however, I’m getting help this time around with all the forms and they’re pushing for 10 points for one section as I don’t go out alone. So which case, that would put me on 14 points & high rate.
What I find frustrating is the medical assessment report states I had no signs of psychological distress. However, I had a full blown panic attack and the assessor escorted myself & my mum out the back entrance just so I didn’t have to see anyone else whilst I was in that state.
I don’t get how they can lie. It’s devastating. A form of bullying actually. Those who really need the help are being called liars & when you have a mental health issue anyway, it’s awful. Should I point that out to the tribunal and say the assessor has lied or is that frowned upon?
The 4 points I have been awarded are for: Can stand and then move more than 50 metres but no more than 200 metres, either aided or unaided.
In 2018, the tribunal also awarded me 4 points for: Needs prompting to be able to undertake any journey to avoid overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant. So I was on standard mobility.
