Ganglion cyst

Hi I hope everyone is well. I've been having bad pain in my ankle joint for about 10 weeks. It turns out it's a ganglion cyst. Has anyone else ever had one? I just wondered if fibro related. 😃

No, I have never had one. I don't think that there is any connection between it and fibro x

I've had 4: all excised well before my flaming fibro raised its ugly head. I don't think there's any link between the two.

If the doctors take any action they can excise or resort to the old fashioned remedy of bashing it with a bible or other similarly weighty tome.

They usually only take action if it causes pain as ganglia are harmless.

I have one on my hand. Horrible hard lump like! GP said nothing to worry about unless causes pain x

I had one on the top of my foot and it was surgically removed before Fibro came knocking.

I’ve had 4 total in left wrist joint.

Was due to an injury at that site.

Drained age 4 with huge painful needle returned.

Surgical removal returned because the roots were inaccessible deep within the wrist joint. Ages 11 & 40.

Returned and painful with wrist impaired movement.

Aggressive surgery with advanced technology and aggressive therapy finished in 3 months not proposed 6. Age 60. So far not returned.

Sometimes trauma will tigger a ganglion.

Not advised to hit it with heavy object as that can result in damage complications even broken bones.
