Terrible cramps in upper abdomen

Which lead to breathlessness. My sats however are normal 97-99 (beta-blockers keeping my heart down)! I’ve been in the hospital to get it checked several times when I’ve gone in for SVT’s these last weeks and no one knows what it is. It’s possible it’s acid reflux, anxiety disorder, the beta-blockers I’m on, some low mineral or the multiple SVT I’ve been having. I have no idea. it’s very very distressing and upsetting and no one seems to know what to do or what it is. I spent the whole morning crying. The pain is unbelievable and all they do in hospital is put me on IV paracetamol because I can’t have biscopan and I can’t have lots of other pain drugs. One Gastro suggested it was post viral because we suspect I had the virus back in March. GP put me on diazepam, the Gastro put me on Lorazepam but they just make me feel so rotten. I suspect it’s because they’re a muscle relaxant and as i’m having problems breathing it feels like my lungs droop with them. It could even be Asthma because I’ve been using a powder inhaler and I tapped it losing a dose this morning and there doesn’t seem to be anything coming out. I’m literally at a loss I don’t know who to turn to.

Hiya Gracey, Im sorry to hear youre in so much pain. I had a similar problem, the pain was excruciating, to say the least! The doctors had no idea and were even suggesting exploratory surgery, I was at my wits end then one day I saw wind eze gel caps on the supermarket shelf and was reminded of the pain from wind after a laparoscopy years back - I bought some and next time the pain hit I was ready to fight, Im happy to say they worked and I always have them to hand these days. It seems to be worse after or if I allow myself to get really hungry. We arent doctors here so I can only tell you what worked for me. I hope you find a solution soon. Trish
