Hello everyone,

I have woken up today feeling very anxious for no reason. Also my body is very tender to touch, not because of pain just very sensitive.

Does anybody else have these symptoms because of fibromyalgia and is so what do you do to help?

TIA

Suzanne

Hello Suzanne, yes my body is very sensitive to touch at the best of times, and being anxious is such a horrid feeling I know, I managed to get mine under control by taking duloxtene and it has stopped it completely, a bit of weight gain , but I’m so much more positive about coping with fibro/cfs conditions . I do try switching off to something I enjoy , be it a good magazine, film, baking cake, gardening when I’m able ,that’s my favourite I totally lose myself . Is this something you have had before or very recent, I do read from many others that anxiety/depression comes with fibro xxx

Thank you Yasmintina, I take Duloxetine too 60mg a day. I have suffered from this before but not sure why it comes in for no reason. When I feel like this I go to bed as I can’t even think straight. 😔. I do suffer with cfs too so it could be tiredness I just don’t know x

We have something in common, the 2 conditions together don’t make for a good pairing let alone anything else we get diagnosed with along the way. I do this, yesterday I was quiet got into bed rested, watched a film or two, I think our bodies have a way of letting us know when it’s time to ease up, I take one tablet of 60mg at night, did you find you put on weight with this ? Xx

Your right the two things together is not a good combination. I have just come to bed I think today this is the place I need to be. I too take 60mg in the evening. Yes I have put on weight and I am on SW trying to loose it. It’s a very slow process but I am in no rush I have lost 5lb in 5 weeks. I don’t care if it takes me a year to loose the weight. I am the heaviest I have ever been and I am only 5ft. Xx

Hi Jeep, so sorry to hear of the anxiety feelings for no reason. I had this for a couple of years. Absolutely no reason at all! I kept thinking there must be something missing from my body. It wasn’t rational. It also sent my BP up which bothered me. A good doctor told me to get Vitamin B12 but it must be ACTIVATED. I bought Viridian. All of my anxiety went away. I could hardly believe it! It’s been almost 3 years and I never wake with that anxiety now. My doctor told me that activated Vitamin B12 feeds the brain. Hope this might be of some help?

Hello Mabula, thank you for the advice. I have been taking B12 but not the activated so I will look into that. Take care x

Hi Suzanne. I get both these symptoms. Hyper-sensitivity is so bad, I can't bear my partner touching me. We split last year because of it but he''s still around to help me if I need it.

It seems for every "good" day or two I have, I have a bad anxiety day, despite my pacing routine (which amounts to very little, even on good days).

I don't take any medication for FM but cbd oil has helped my sleep a lot.

I find a poor night''s sleep makes the anxiety worse next day and, like you, there is no reason for it in my life, most of the time.

I just do the absolute minimum - walk dog & go to bed. I know relaxation helps but when I feel really bad, I can't focus on anything.

Hope you find relief somehow.

Annie
