Hi anxiety yes it,s hard to describe but that could be one way of putting it.

I do find it makes my symptoms of fibro and fnd worse.

Yes, light headed ,floaty, walking on marshmellows feeling , shaking inside, feeling of dread, and sometimes not even feeling like I am connected to my body.

Anxiety definitely increases my fibro. The pain of mental health sometimes comes close to the physical pain.

I do sympathise xx

that sounds to me, like the beginning of a panic attack. i should know- i've been getting panic attacks since i was 4 years old. i still can't control them properly :(

I hear all this talk about anxiety but nothing about what to do about it. If it's a problem in your life, go to your doctor and tell him/her about it and see what your doc offers to do for you. I have an anxiety disorder and would be miserable without treatment. I don't know about you, but just know that there is treatment if you really need it.

I have medication for it but I still have this weird feeling

Mrs B 07 have you had your thyroid levels checked as this can cause the problems you are experiencing too - I've found out only recently that Fibro and thyroid probs can overlap with the same symptoms might be worth asking doc.

I suffered from anxiety too for years from 17-18 years old but gradually learned to live with it so when I get palpations I know what they are ( another part of thyroid symptoms too I've recently found out) I am now 68 and treat them as a nuisance rather than a threat

So sweetheart don't worry as the more you worry the more anxious you become which then starts the brain into action to fire off other symptoms. Hope this has helped. 😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗

I think 'sharing' is a type of medicine in itself. If you can hear that others experience the same as you....and survive!...then you are less afraid the next time a panic/anxiety attack happens and then it can sometimes pass quicker. I lay in bed the other night...almost convinced I was gonna die....floaty and just plain odd - impending doom and all that...yet here I am. Sorry that you folks are suffering too but glad we've found each other so we can help each other. x

Yes we do have each other thank you for your reply

I'm on a high dose of valium for my anxiety- it's meant to be controlled but true panic truly cannot be controlled. i've learnt that you have to go with it and ride it out- it will pass.

I have been doing that thank you

Just remind yourself that it's not the end of the world the panic will pass eventually- i've had panic attacks that have spanned a whole week. boy that wasn't fun. my psychiatrist didn't think it was fun either. lol
