I’ve lost mine since 6th December last year and have been back and forth to GP and ENT socialists without getting to the bottom of it.
I have now been referred to speech therapy and awaiting an appointment?

Question for you and Spechless do you mean lost your voice quite literally, asin no voice.
I once knew a lady that had a voice or speech problem for a while when half the words or more came out like gobbledygook all sort of mixed up. Very strange to hear.

Kitty no thats not what i mean but i think everyone with fibro gets that, i get whole sentences mixed up and call my kids the wrong names and forget complete words and it can last for a few hours or a few days at a time

Hi that sound very like this lady I knew words just came out wrong for her and it came and went sorted itself out eventually,
I thought she had been partying to hard, it was amusing to her at times,
I read a book on psychology around that time, seeking knowledge well read most of it, was hard going.

Literally became hoarse, and then voice went to barely a whisper.
It has happened several times over the past 2 years but never for this length of time.
Apparently whispering is worse for you as it places more strain on your vocal cords.

I am female but don't object to being called mate. I added the 46 as i just for some bizarre reason like the numbers 4 and 6. Now if people can't pronounce my name i just tell them to call me Spanner, its a lot easier.

I had a supervisor tell me I was spending too much time talking about non-work related issues. Made me angry so I made my acronym as a reminder of her suggestion. No One Wants To Hear About Your Life Anyway!
I have a new supervisor now since the other retired. But I still tend to talk less than before.
