Been kicked out of the forum at the beginning, under suspicion to be a troll. . Subscribed again, under the name "baraba", meaning the gangster in my language. BTW I am not a gangster, but retired University professor, lol!

Hi baraba

It reminds me of the word barbarian that comes from the Roman when they met a people they could not understand they described it as they talk " Ba Ba Ba " hence the word Barbarian. It also links Barbara "warrior woman " even Brabas from the Bible .

Loads to think on your pseudonym.

Hello, Max! Interesting idea about the root of my pseudo name! The word actually does not denote a real gangster, but a young guy with problematic behavior, who has not committed any serious crime and who can be behold with sympathy. You can say to someone that he is "baraba", without offending him... Take care! Peter

Hi Baraba

Did you know the Romans misled us as well. They were much cruler that most tribes. Attila the Hun a well known member of the Barbarian Hordes laid siege to Rome he kept his troops outside the city no rape pillage or destruction. He demanded the Romans sign an agreement to honer what they previously would not uphold. He then withdrew his troops only for the Romans to back stab him on his way home,

Well its nice to hear from you. everyone seems to have one thing in common its something relating to something from inside that matters

Love and Peace MaxV4 X

Totally off track here but do you know the cause of your voice loss?

I’ve lost mine since 6th December last year and have been back and forth to GP and ENT socialists without getting to the bottom of it.

I have now been referred to speech therapy and awaiting an appointment?

My name is merely a nickname my brother game me when he was young and has stuck for the past 40 odd years, my given name is Kathryn x

Hope everyone is feeling brighter with the view of sunshine in these dark days ahead.

Question for you and Spechless do you mean lost your voice quite literally, asin no voice.

I once knew a lady that had a voice or speech problem for a while when half the words or more came out like gobbledygook all sort of mixed up. Very strange to hear.

The power of the written word is infinite,

Peace and Tranquility to you MaxV4

It has happened several times over the past 2 years but never for this length of time.

Apparently whispering is worse for you as it places more strain on your vocal cords.
