Does fibromyalgia get any worse ? It started in my hands & knees 10 years ago & now have it really bad. Frozen shoulders & locking up joints 😐 I don’t sleep much & get so lethargic & at this moment I’m so glad for the invite. I don’t know how much more I can take , love K4ttt

Hi K4ttt

I'm sorry you are suffering so much at the mo 😔. I was diagnosed 2 months ago, but was noted in my medical records in 2011, but apparently, goes back to maybe even earlier than teenage years!

Over the years, I managed pains really well, it's only over the last 3-4yrs, that things have got worse. I think for some, it just gets worse by the month/year, but I know others that lead a less painful life, but unfortunately, with fibro, it really is down to the individual.

Has your dr prescribed any pain medication? I didn't sleep much either, maybe 2-3hrs per night, but was put on pregabalin and now I sleep about 5hrs, it's still not much, but better than it was!

You really should speak with your drs and see how else they can help you.

Take care and sending gentle hugs xx

Hi Nooby, thanks & sorry for the late reply. I’m on Salazopyrin & amitriptyline but they make me feel so groggy 🥴. I can’t take Tramadol as they interact with my other meds so paracetamol only. I just feel a burden & never felt this down before as a red headed strong minded individual I’m being beaten by this illness, I’m so grateful for your kind words & sending hugs 🤗 back to you my friend . Chat again I’m sure love K4ttt x

It does progress, but it can be hard to tell whether it is the Fibro itself, or the other problems which add to the burden at any time. Arthritic changes come as you age and exercise less, and stiffness can become more pronounced.

Hi Midori, yes your right it is hard to tell whether it’s fibromyalgia or something else but at this time I’m pretty sure it is. A few more hours sleep would help 🙏 thanks for your reply my friend love K4ttt
