take what you can from him but do not take it all as Gospel would be my advice. His analogies and philosophy on pacing is good. Has had quite a few dead ends like the sugar one.

I like the analogy "we're the canaries of the coal mines". What an interesting Doctor, who unassumingly gets the jibs in about the pharmaceutical companies and the FDA. As for cures not sure but certainly food for thought and good tips.

He certainly provides food for thought but he recommends so many things it would be impossible to do it all on one's on. I speak from experience having bought his book many years ago. However that is not to 'do him down' - one just has to be realistic about what/how much one tries.

In my own case (and I now know that I have a range of other conditions, such as Lupus), I have - by trial and error over a decade - found (in addition to the cornerstone that is pacing) that mitochondrial support is key for me. So I take CoQ10, Acetyl L Carnitine, Ribose and a non oral form of Magnesium daily. In addition, I take vits C & D.
