Does anyone get really sensitive skin like it is going to tear off??

Sometimes my skin feel very tight especially on my legs. It feels sensitive all over, but I just assumed this was another joy with Fibromyalgia. Our nerve receptors are very sensitive and the slightest feeling and sensation is magnified to us. I think this is fairly common with Fibro sufferers. Everything seems heightened. Some days are worse for me than others, but it's always there.

I have sensative skin i know i bruse and scare easy ( you should see what i did with a cup of tea) i think its an FMS thing .. just be kind to your skin and yourself

Mine goes realy tight like it is going to tear, mainly on my arms!!!...then i think it is dry skin, but I moisturise twice a day. I mainly get it on my arms and chest. It is horrible....x

I get it sometimes, it makes me want to scream. i've been told it's a side effect of Amitriptyline which I am continuing with as they help me cope with the pain. Sometimes my husband just touches my hand and it just hurts so much. I'm hoping it will pass.

Mine is like this most of the time, Rach1977. It feels like it is in a steam bath or something and if you rub it, it's like you were trying to rub shards of glass into them. i was even dreaming on night that the flesh was melting off my hands.

HIya yes i too have sensitive and painfull skin, the most painfull area is the side of my ribs, wearing a bra can be very uncomfortable as it is right now. Cant wait to get in from work and remove it. I have a sensitive face, with a horrible rash on it, and realy itchy hands and ears.
