APOLOGIES. I wish to apologise that by placing the quote of the Retired Doctor on here, seems to have upset so many people, and I am very sorry for that. Thank you for all who responded, which seemed to have stirred up a hornet's nest. I understand that many have been helped by drugs. It has not been my experience at all! I placed the same piece in Facebook and 4 ladies agreed with it. Anyway, I wish to now come out of the group, and trust that all of you will know some measure of help and recovery from these nasty chronic illnesses, especially Fibromyalgia. Love from Roselil

Please don’t feel you have to leave the group Roselil just because people were in disagreement with what was quoted
Thank you, blackegg, for your kind comment. I will consider staying on, but feel it is better that I leave. For those who questioned whether I am ill with Fibromyalgia, yes, for very many years and severely, also with M.E. and IBS, stomach troubles, hearing loss with tinnitus, disabled since about 1986, 4 eye conditions, voice loss due to muscles being too weak to operate my vocal chords, but thankful that I have a good carer, who is my husband. I have apologised to the many who responded. I did not realise that the quote would upset so many.
please stay on the forum. your opinion can be different than mine but I will still try and support you. I can empathise with your reasons even if I disagree with you.
I am sorry you have suffered so badly with your health, I guess experiences have shaped your views which is totally understandable. Please don’t leave on the fact some of us disagreed, this is an adult environment & we are all here ultimately to help & support one another
Thank you, blackegg. You are kind. Love Roselil
Dear Roselil, i dont think you were wrong . It stirred up a lively debate. I both agree and disagree. I have known bad doctors with unhelpful , unsympathetic attitudes and some very good ones , to whom i am eternally grateful. I use a lot of natural medicine as you can see my posts. CBD oil for one, to control pain . But i also take meds for angina and high blood pressure. I dont know what i would do without ropinerole for restless legs. KT
It is good to stir up a hornet's nest occasionally. Things are complex. It is a lifetimes work to learn what ever there is to learn. It is an ocean on the internet and we all live in small ponds. It is the nature of living in small ponds that we see nice quotes that speaks to our experience. When we take the quote to the ocean of people (the internet) there are lots more experiences which the quote does not speak to and annoys.
In the context that it was said and to the group of people it was originally said to the quote is right, I actually agree with a lot of it. The problem is it is not 100% accurate even though it has accuracy and it is taken out of the context in which it was originally said.
A person who has been damaged by a vaccine has a life long sentence of injury. I have met a few vaccine damaged people and their carers. I have met people who have been severely damaged by drugs. There is a big problem about the accuracy of medical textbooks. There is a problem about the harms drugs can do and the truthfulness of many drug trials.
Your post was successful. It achieved a lot of good. You have planted the thought for people to mull over slow time. Instant first reactions are often different from thoughtful long term reactions.
Look forward to some more thought provoking posts.
The first verse from Rudyard Kippling's IF
"
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

Thank you, John, for your kind reply. Yes, the polio vaccine I took as a schoolgirl of 15 y ears of age, was contaminated, as I much later discovered, through being on the internet, so I believe my illness has all stemmed from that. It has been a lifetime of great weakness in limbs and muscles, including voice loss and breathing difficulties, with years of being bed-ridden too. There is also such a thing as post-polio syndrome, so am sure this has been the cause of much which I and others have suffered from. Yes, indeed, we need to weigh up all the pros and cons of taking drugs, and still I much prefer herbal or natural remedies, as far as possible. Thank you for your interesting comments. Love Roselil
You live in a democracy, have you sat and watched the Parliament channel, a pit of controversy, don't be to harsh on yourself. People like a good controversial discussion from time to time. You shouldn't feel the need to leave.
Please don’t leave because people disagree your opinion is as important as everyone else’s xxx
There's no problem and no need to leave ......it's the nature of community forums as everyone had their own opinion based on experiences, what they've read etc . They may well be a retired DR who feels the complete opposite to the DR you cited and you wold obviously disagree but other members may agree. That's life!
As you can understand as a community run by charity FMAUK , admin members must provide the other side of the coin so to speak so it's a balanced post and to inform members as best they can and desquinn has explained above that there's no need to leave.
BTW just one question that you can answer by sending me a PM, is this your old Doctor or something you found online - as I noticed it had the wording 'Rate this Translation' at the end of your original post. If it is taken from the internet, although you agree with it - the source cannot be verified and it could have been anyone who wrote it I would suggest.
Anyway it would be interesting to know via PM the link you found this if it is on the internet Please stay ......
Emma
Emma it's all over the Internet and has been posted numerous times on Facebook and many forums but nobody has ever been able to prove that it's genuine because the original source hasn't been found.
Ah so essentially we have been discussing something that is a moot point!!
So, without being rude but more truthful its not worth the brain space as we cannot say it was actually said by a medical professional. Therefore Roselil there is definitely no reason to leave as it could be pure fabrication and as above all people on forum's have differing views and that's life !! We respect your opinions and views as a member of the forum although others may disagree as on the said post
Just to say, to help all members on the community (not a criticism of the post at all) please always question the source of anything we read on the internet for credibility as there is Fake News, people buying LIKES, reviews & comments, sites that say things just to get site visits etc. You can post whatever but sometimes for safety reasons sometimes you should not trust all you read as fact.
I think we should all put this behind us and move forward x
Emma
I've searched and desquinn mentioned it was supposed to be a quote from MD Alan Greenberg although many insist it is Fake News and that any image on internet alongside it is of a random man. So, as you say nobody really knows and therefore I think we all agree that it's best to move on from this as it seems to have no credibility at all Nobody should worry or feel that have to leave Roselil as we respect each others opinions here and that's how it should be - and as others have pointed out would be boring if we all thought the same anyway plus there'd be no discussion !!!
Please can we forget this now as there are no credible links that report this was even a medical professional at all and could well be fake news....... let's just continue supporting each other and being respectful of others views
Anyone can post anything they like and it does not need to be verified to be credible........(everyone is advised to look at things objectively and question the source on the internet nowadays anyway!)
I would suggest that everyone concentrates on using the community forum as per the guidelines and supporting others. - ie let's move forward now and not worry about where it came from .....
There is no requirement to post the source although in the guidelines it is suggested that if you can it is helpful and also easier to deduce the fact from a personal opinion. I would suggest you read the guidelines and also please know that this is the 3rd time I have kindly asked you to move on from this subject. Thank You
Yes but that's up to you and that is not what you originally said 'So if it was not credible why was it posted to begin with though? Moderators within the admin team can make the decision if a post is to be left on the community and members can help by reporting (if they so wish) However you seem to be verging towards questioning the Admin team's decision and this is against guidelines. Please as I have kindly asked can we move on as I say this is now the 4th time I have suggested this as being the correct course of action
