Hi everyone! Hope things are as well as they can be and that you’re having low pain days. I’ve found a way of keeping my pain well managed : oromorph and pregablin and paracetamol.
I’m currently off work. But really want to get back. Does anyone work and take regular morphine without any issues? Or have it agreed by their occupational health team? I’d really appreciate anyone’s thoughts! K xxx

I would venture to suggest something like Zomorph, (slow release morphine, so it delivers to your body throughout the 12 hour period), rather than a heavy hit , then nothing.
Thanks so much for replying. I need to go back to the GP to review. They wanted
To use oromorph as a way of tracking what I needed, before giving me some slow release. Hopefully that’ll be easier to take too rather than the oromorph liquid!!
I was prescribed it by gp but couldn't cope with the itching it caused and my rheumatology team advised against it. However, when you get a combination that works for you it's hard to not want to carry on. Up to you.
Thanks for your reply. I’m quite lucky I think: only side effects I’ve found is constipation. It is tricky knowing what’s best to do : manage pain well or work and be miserable.....I’m paying to see a private rheumy so we’ll see what they say!
Thanks so much for your reply. The morphine is more for severe joint pain due to osteoarthritis. I’m on pregablin for fibro as well! I was on naproxen, but have had a DVT and can’t take it anymore unfortunately 😩 occupational health are currently saying no working when taking morphine....sigh.
