I dont think it really works like that I think it takes awhile to work. I tried coming off it and ended up staying on it. Now been 13 years I have been on it.

Hi Sasha have you had any side affects from taken progabalin

in reply to Larnian

Yes think it has put alot of weight on me. As it suppresses the feeling that I am full. Thought also caused sleep probs but came off another tablet and dont seem to have sleep probs.

Hi Larnian,

I am so so sorry to hear you feel alone. I know this feeling. I hope your gluten free diet helps!

You need to take Pregabalin regularly. You can gain weight, I did without increasing food intake.

Yes, I've read about others gaining as well. I've got IBS so there are only so many things I can eat, and so much of it and sometimes not at all. So definitely not over eating.

Have stopped Pregabalin, feel lighter for it. More weight in my joints isn't advised by GP, so Rock and Hard Place really.

My nice gained 50lbs! She's in the states so not sure if she was over eating or not. She's not the type, has always been tiny, runs in our family.

Larnian, I was on Pregabalin and certaintly it helped for a while,, it also left me sitting like a zombie most of the time.

Evnetualy it started loosing it's effectiveness, they upped the dose and upped the dose and upped the dose with only minor improvements in my pain,, I eventualy got off it!

I too went GF at first then going of all grains.

I then went off all dairy.

I couldn't go back.

I am now vegan.

It seems a big deal at first but it is just about breaking habbits of a ifetime and learning new ones. While I at first searched for all the bread and GF replacements I eventualy just stopped buying them. I was never really overweight but I now have a waist like I did when I was 17.

I am never hungery and my diet is better than ever! I now look in horror at the average shopping trolly It is filled with gluten and dairy to of the biggest inflamatory agents on the market,, I am even more disturbed to see that they are feeding it to the kids!

There is a reason that the "FREE FROM" sections in the supermarkets are growing at an exoinential rate,,, and it is certaitly not the cheap prices bringing the takers.

I will often have something like soup or a veg curry for breakfast,, to many that seems strange.

It takes a bit of dedication and fruit is now my friend as you can no longer just grab a sandwich,, but once you get your head around it you are no longer a slave to food and eat to live.

Good Luck with it, Ray

Thank you that sounds good advice, I made myself vegetable soup today it was lovely .Have you found changing your diet has benefited your health and helped with pain .

Spoke to doctor today he was pretty useless but has changed me from 75 mg to 25 mg of progabalin so at least I can slowing decrease the amount I take 🤞
