For those who have not encountered it, the Chronic Illness Inclusion Project is led by disabled people living with energy-limiting chronic illness. Their aim is to bring the chronic illness community together online to explore shared experiences under a social model of disability, in the emancipatory research tradition. Their website is at inclusionproject.org.uk/.

The CIIP are seeking artists, illustrators and photographers to help spread their message. In their own words:

‘Can you help bring our work alive with images to convey life with chronic illness? We want to convey the sense that internet and communication technology are a lifeline for people who may be housebound. Do you have any creative ideas for how to portray both solitude, confinement, invisible illness and also the connection and solidarity that our screens can bring?’

I wondered whether the message of the importance of social media and particularly forums like this one might be speak to HU members?

Please get in touch with CIIP if you have ideas.
