I'm new here so have to bare with me. I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia December 2018. Although I've had it for last 10 yrs but doctors just kept saying it was cos of my other conditions. Several members of my family have fibromyalgia 3 generations.
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

I'm pleased you have at last got some answers as I think the not knowing what is wrong with you is worse than knowing as at least now you know what you are up against but sorry you have joined the fibro club. I would look at our mother site Fibromyalgia Action UK as it has a good section on all the different symptoms and both medication, alternative therapies and exercise that might help.x
healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hi there and welcome as moal61 /rose wine have said hav e a look at the main site for information. Sometimes although it does sound strange in away I was actually relieved to finally find the answers after a few years, not only did it help me to start dealing with health issues but people seemed more in tune as well. It’s not like it’s in our heads it’s a real condition. I am interested to read 3 generations in your family have had this , my daughter has mild at present but because people were not diagnosed previously does make you think if mothers, siblings etc may have had it too with out knowing and just putting it down to other things. I hope you will benefit from joining this lovely well run forum , there is a link above if you would like to lock your posts as well. X
