Ask if u can record the meeting cause the people from Capita lie on the report, I had it happen to me twice, also if u have someone with u someone who knows wat u have been dealing with let them do most of talking, remember they are not your friend they will try to get u to let your guard down, I wish u gud luck
HI
They will ask you some questions all related to information you gave on application form .
Ask some questions like
If you went shopping and spent 95p what change would you get.
Ask you to repeat a address or 3 words they give you but not straight away .
and a maths question
they will also asses your dexterity and judge how far you can walk .
If you have someone with you they are able to add anything you have missed but you must answer yourself first.
Yes you can record assessment but you need to ask in advance and must provide the recording equipment they state .
We always hear horror stories but their are plenty of lovely assessors around so please don't worry
Good Luck
If you read the guidance for assessors produced by DWP, you will get a good idea of what they are looking for and how they reach their conclusions.

Remember that they watch you and record their observations. If you say you cannot walk well, then walk OK from your front door to the room where you see them, they will say your mobility seems fine to them. If you say you struggle with manual dexterity, but you open the front door, hand over your identity documents and tell them you drive, they will say your dexterity looks good to them, so you can cook, dress and wash without help.
Take care. Their job is to score you as low as they can, consistent with what they see or read.
We are going to court appeal not a assessment
Any experience of this
