Hi havnt posted for a while but follow regularly I think I'm making myself bad fretting. I was due to have an ESA medical 2 weeks ago ,I was 10 mins from the centre when I got a phone call to say they were going to have to cancel as the doctor was going home sick and that they would have to reschedule as many of you can imagine I wasn't happy after worrying about it for days to be so near and then that happens with the stress of it all I ended up in bed for 2days with the worse migraine ever followed by a couple of days in terrible pain which I'm putting down to the stress of it all .....I have my appointment for this Thursday and already worked up about it not eating not sleeping getting stressed just worried that its going to be cancelled again . Should I tell them at the medical how I was ill after having the last one cancelled at such short notice....any advice would be appreciated .....thanks in advance

Feeling anxious
Getting anxious about any interviews is normal BUT if you are so bad then ask your gp if he/she will give you a couple of something like diazepam to take a couple of day before, to calm you down.. make yourself a word document of how your illnessess affect your daily life, thats the point to get across not what ails us. they are assessing how you cope daily what hinders you and what help you need... good luck see gp for help to calm yo..
Hi towie1, The build up to these assessments is very worrying. I ended up going twice due to assessor not being qualified in my health issues, that added to my anxiety. My advice would be to take a friend or relative with you on the day. Remember to take your list of medications and other documents they have requested. You can do it,🙂let us know how you get on. Good luck 🍁
I sympathise with you I am due to have an appeal for PIP soon I hate these medicals...face to face too.. I constantly worry and get little sleep..infact I make myself ill..Carry a note pad around with you as I find things come to me often when I am doing thngs around the house..right down your feelings pain and anxiety levels by the time make a note of the ones you think are relative to the medical so you are freeing up space to remember what really counts..the less is more when it comes to face to face medicals...I hope you are ok and get through this we are all here in the same boat ..try and relax a bit ..good luck ( it is this Thursaday ?)
