I have this quite often sometimes it wakes me up!! Mine starts at the base of my neck and creeps up over my head to the crown...sometimes it starts in the lumbar spine and crawls all the way up...almost like a fear response....quite unsettling if it wakes me in the night after I eventually fall asleep...lol mine is to do with the nerves in my spine being pressured by multiple slipped discs..it's become worse since the one in my neck joined the party!! if in doubt talk to your GP... :-) but your not alone or imagining it...which is what I thought at first xx

Doesn't happen for weeks and weeks then drives me potty. Sometimes on my scalp, neck and upper chest, usually more on my arms. Think it's the fibro affecting the nerves endings in the skin.

I suffer with this. It feels like my whole body is covered in ants. I have found as weird as it might be that antihistamines dull this sensation and make it more of a background feeling.

I would talk to your GP as well.
