Hi everyone, I hope you are all as well as can be. I’ve not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but after reading up quite a bit about it I’m now wandering if I have it..
I have a back and a spinal condition which cause me a lot of back, pelvic and leg pain. But over the last few months I’ve developed new symptoms. Such as painful feet if walking too much (by too much I mean something as simple as walking around the supermarket doing the food shop) numbness in my little and ring fingers but worse in my left hand, pain in my hands which shoots up my arms, frequent headaches, frequent insomnia and short term forgetfulness.
Are these common symptoms? Do I need to see my GP to discuss this?
Love and gentle hugs to you all xx

Hi, I want to assure you this is part of Fibro! I have the same symptoms with my feet, arms and hands.
It's very crippling and if I try and walk that little bit further I feel I could cry! I've got special insoles made and also wear Skechers but it still doesn't help.
I have had loads of tests to see if it's anything different as I was diagnosed with Fibro nearly 2years ago and although I've got golfers elbow I too have shooting pain in my hands and arm, but I feel both my hands go numb. I also suffer with burning sensation which makes it worse.
My son keeps saying he's going to get me a wheelchair, although I laugh it off I do think it won't be long!
The symptoms you describe could be fibromyalgia related, but I suggest that you make a list of them all, I find writing them down is better, because I am so forgetful!! and discuss them with your doctor (maybe book a double appointment if your medical centre allows, so you have plenty of time!)
Your doctor may want to carry out some tests to rule out other causes. It can take a while, because there is NO specific test for fibromyalgia.
I myself have the dreadful foot pain, feels like heavy weight s in the soles of my feet, also numbness and pins and needles in my toes.
Have you looked at the mother website for this forum, fmauk.org you may find some useful information .?
Take care and if you have any further questions, then someone on here can usually offer some advice or help xxx
Thank you for replying. I shall be sure to write a list of my many varying symptoms as I am also very forgetful! My GP has referred me to MSK for my hands so I shall take the lost with me to that appointment and see what they say, if they can’t shed much light then I’ll book and appointment with my GP. I will have a look at that other site phlebo, thank you.
