looking for my local group that maybe I can join..unless theres a waiting list or other restrictions... I'm in thanet,( Ramsgate ) area.

You can also try Googling online for a group near you.

Another alternative is to click on your username above and you'll get a drop down menu.

Click on the fourth option which is "People near me".
