Do any of you suffer with getting swollen wrists & ankles for a day or 2? Is it another side effect of our dear fibro?

I do, especially ankles. I have gained weight with the FM, apparently a sign of fm... my ankles hurt, my hands and wrists do to. This is the mother of all illnesses eh? It effects EVERYTHING in one way or another.

Hugs x

My ankles swell too, and my hands. My tummy also swells, but i was diagnosed with IBS last year to go along with my fibro, depression, anxiety and stress! Oh the joys!

Fibro isn't inflammatory. You may get fluid retention with Fibro, but any other inflammation should be a cause for concern. At the very least, you should get your Gp to rerun inflammatory and autoimmune blood tests on a reasonably regular basis - many inflammatory conditions do not show up in blood tests straight away.
