Hi gdwoo, as far as I'm aware they are legal. You'll need to ask your GP about them.

I've been vaping CBD oil ( medicinal part of cannabis) which is legal. I find it helps, but may not be for everyone. I've never smoked tobacco so was a strange experience.

I'd advise you do some research on it first. There are outlets on the Internet, also a lot of vaping shops on the high street may stock it. They will be able to advise also.

There aren't any side effects and is not addictive.

I hope this helps.

Hi gdwoo

Unfortunately as far as I am aware they are not yet legal in the UK. From what I have read the only cannabis product that is legal is the drug, ''Sativex'' that can only be prescribed for patients with MS.

What is legal is CBD, which can be in oil or a vape. However, for this to legal in the UK it has to have a THC content below 0.2%. It now has a medical classification as a medication. I have pasted you a link to the GOV.UK cache on this below:

I genuinely hope that this helps answer your question. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

I've been offered Sativex (and declined the offer) via my pain clinic and I don't have MS. I have chronic back pain after breaking my back in an accident when I was younger.

Hi purplegrandma67

Thank you so much for that information. I have also recently seen a medication that contains Sativex that is not aimed at MS as well. It does go against the guidelines of NICE however but I am all for offering real help to anyone who is struggling and suffering.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Ken. I am a scientist in the UK researching lung cancer and I am really struggling. My boyyfriend is extremely sick suffering from Crohn's disease, became resistant to infliximab, humira gave him neurological problems and now he consumes cannabis oil and CBD. It is written in his monthly outpatients appointments that he consumes cannabis oil and his gastroenterologist has seen dramatic effects on appetite, pain, inflammation and more.

As cannabis is illegal in the UK this adds to the stress and anxiety of his illness. Please how can we get Bedrocan prescribed (THC lower than 0.2% so legal) or CBD products? I appreciate your reply in advance

What the Moderator has said is true, but there is a pharmacy company tjat makes canabis tablets that are used for medical purposes. They are about 89 euros for a box and 10 euros postage. The company is legit it was posted in the Independant newspaper. At the moment where so far behind the times in geting canabis tablets licenced for chronic pain and is just for MS sufferers. And the service is heavily monitored and even if you have really nad MS theres no promises you will even get it

Hi there I looked into cannabis patches and as far as I am aware they are only available in the United States. I trialled sativex off licence for fibromyalgia which is a pure cannabis spray but it was vert expensive left me feeling out of it depressed and hungry all the time! Hope this helps
