Hi, I have attended fm awareness day at the houses of parlament chaired by mp who has fm, it was full of irony - the mp herself confessed that she is to date affraid of disclosing her fm condition to her colleague in fear of loosing her job and of course she will keep it that way - the second male mp who dropped in had told us that his partner has fm but luckily they both live in Scotland where treatment and diagnoses is available and on and on it went,The Two doctors present told us that we shouldn't bother the doctors that we are a burden on the NHS .... And get on with our lives ... To my amazement no one reacted to it .... Looks to me people live in fear and this support to have been awareness fm day ?!?

I was furious what is the point of these meetings and petitions dear I ask - in disparate situations we daily face in silent suffering ???

In my case I was bluntly told to seek treatment privately and I have done for 10 years, and since the last year my savings were exhausted I was prescribed the treatment by the A&E department?????

What is the NHS playing at I ask, God help us all.

That's where I came across it on Facebook and have signed it as have many more people now. That is awful Endurer I know the treatment of it down here is diabolical when I was initially told I had it over 25 years ago I was told to go home and live with it. I think Drs are a little more aware and sympathetic now (well some) I think there are some who still don't believe in it. Just a shame a few more don't have to walk on our shoes for a while or some days probably crawl not walk.
