Hi and welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.
It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.
There are a few members around the same age as yourself & I'm sure you will get replies from them.
If you have used your own name, I suggest you change it, If you need any help just give me a shout and i will talk you through it.
Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.
Peace, luv n light
Jan ☺
PS. I advise you to lock your post to keep info safe from internet. Pls. follow this link to simple instructions .You will get more replies on a locked post too.
Hi Hidden
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I was wondering if you have spoken to your doctor about medication?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hello and welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find advice, information, support and understanding. I do urge you to look at our Mother Site fmauk.org where you can find a lot about fibro, including guides and links.
Finding ways to cope and manage the pain and fatigue can be a personal thing. Some find it better to rest up, others that a gentle walk or a trip out with friends distract them.
The most important is to learn to pace yourself. Have you googled the "Spoon Theory" this helps to explain the importance of pacing in an easy and understanding way. If you read here that someone has "used all their spoons" you will know what it is about.
Another thing is to not miss your medication just because you are having a good day.
Hope to see you around the forum.

Hi my daughter is 18 and has fibro for three years she finds heat helps eg electric heat pads, deep heat and Linnex which is a heat stick available on Internet both she and I have found Linnex to be very helpful, you only need to use a small amount. Massage is also helpful. She also sees an osteopath... Everyone is different and finds different things help.
if you have not been referred to pain management I would strongly advise you ask your GP for a referral, they can give all sorts of different medication and treatment for pain relief.. good luck
Hi as bluebell99 said pacing is the best bit of advice I have been given. As every body can be different it can be a bit of learning curve but don,t hesitate to ask there,s lots of friendly and helpful people on here best
